Fencing Makes Headlines…Duchess has an Affair with a Fencer
March 22, 2009

The headline of the NY Post Today: Sword Play! $$$ Divorce Countess Admits Affair with Fencer
But, what fencer? Has our “Fencing is a sexy sport” campaign has gone too far?
Today, the feature story in the tabloid NY Post was about a Swedish Countess and the affair she had with the head of the Swedish Fencing Federation. (I hope you didn’t think it was one of us! Shame on you!)
Marie Douglas-David admitted in court papers that she had a sexual relationship with Alexander Oxenstierna, a suave fencer and head of a Swedish fencing association
And…
The off the reservation” countess who complains she can’t live on a measly $36 million divorce settlement admitted she had a steamy affair with a strapping Swedish swordsman during her tumultuous marriage
Of course, they can’t do a fencing article without a cheesy fencing pun:
Countesses’ Heart Pierces by Fencers Blade
Craziness, right?
Now might be a good time to mention that Jason, James and I will be in the NY Post later this week with a slightly less scandalous story…

Some of the stuff you guys write is just hilarious!!
