It’s an American tradition. You win the World Series, Super Bowl or any achieve any other numerous things both sporting and non and you get a White House invitation.
I have been blessed with two White House visits after the Athens and Beijing Olympics.
What an honor to be invited to the White House, right?
Apparently not for James Harrison of the Pittsburg Steelers who almost seems offended that he has been invited for accomplishing something and would prefer he be just invited.
Yes, he would have invited Arizona if they won James! That’s the whole point…Celebrating big achievements that all Americans can be proud of!
Visiting the White House is a symbolic reward for excellence.
