After we arrived from Italy I headed home changed clothes and immediately headed out to an event hosted by Calvin Klein with Jason. (Yes, this post is a little late…jet lag!)

I don’t remember too much from the event other than I was trying to sound coherent while talking to people!   It was also a “white party” which meant searching through my closet for a white outfit.   Never an easy task! 

Oh yeah,  funniest part was watching these trays of cupcakes being carried by waiters all night since all the fashion and model types were ignoring them!  I was afraid to go near them myself…don’t want to be the one guy eating the cupcakes at the model party!

Tyra Banks, Olivia Palermo, Andrew Saffir, Daniel Benedict, Josh Reed, Danica Lo, Chloe Sevigny and a boatload of models were in attendance! (Amongst many many others!)

I stepped toward my opponent, aimed my sword at her heart, and lunged, causing to pour forth from deep in her chest a stream of giggles. She blocked my attack with a lateral parry quarte, and I tried to riposte to her high inside line. My riposte missed its mark, and my opponent easily hit my blade away, then struck me, provoking more hilarity from her. There’s something about being laughed at from behind a disembodied fencer’s mask that is particularly infuriating. I was now so flustered that I forgot to extend my arm before lunging, allowing her to hit me again. She said, “You just get worse and worse! A-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!”

USOC Launches New Initiative “America Supports Team USA” in Lead-Up to Fourth of July

A few weeks ago I flew out to LA to film some stuff for the USOC’s new fund-raising campaign “Together We Win“.   Leading up to July 4th weekend their will be a number of  “Olympic Day” events around the country.

Jason Rogers, James Williams and I will be speaking to several hundred children in Dallas, Texas during their ”Olympic Day” activities.  This should be announced soon by the USFA.    Fingers crossed that we will be involved in the NYC Olympic Day Activities!!

Fencing Porn Exists! Haha

Since I started the Fencing is a Sexy Sport  campaign I’ve gotten a constant flow of emails from people with funny naked fencing pictures…

I’ve joked about fencing porn, but apparently it exists and the picture above is from a Porn with fencing! lol

This next scene does get its point across in a different kind of fantasy. Fencing student and instructor get carried away during a routine fencing class. They forgo the rule of teacher and student and give into the sexual tension that has developed during the class. Once the protective padding and  clothing  come off they  are in for a different  kind of lesson.

At least I have another option if my work to acquire sponsorships falls short…

Google Adds Personal Profiles

Google seems to have joined the  social networking wars by allowing people to create Google profiles of themselves to help with search engine searches.  

Who will win this battle? Facebook, Google, Twitter, MySpace?  Where does this end???
