Ladies and gentlemen,

I give you the blog of Italian Olympic Saber Fencer Diego Occhiuzzi! http://www.diegoocchiuzzi.it/

I’m not really sure why, but it says “The Fool” between each post. What does that mean in Italian?

Anyway, funny coincidence, but about 2 months ago Jason Rogers andI noticed our Italian fencing friends talking about us on their facebook walls…in Italian of course!

After a quick google language translation we discovered that they were talking about our websites and how they liked them…

Today, I discovered that Diego Ochiuzzi has a blog now! (looking similar to Jason’s and mine?? www.timmorehouse.com / www.jasonrogersusa.com) I’ll let you be the judge!

Seems like it should be a cool site. It has pictures of him from his early fencing days, some modeling type pictures and him discussing his recent European Championship result.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Italian website without a bunch of shirtless pictures which you can find at his photo gallery: http://www.diegoocchiuzzi.it/about/

Perhaps, the fencing is a sexy sport campaign has moved onto Italy?

WELCOME TO BLOGGING DIEGO!

European Fencing Championships Receive Better Coverage than Team USA at Pan Ams…in the USA!!

July 16, 2009

Wow.  This picture is running on the popular wesbite www.jezebel.com.  Also, the European Championships have a live updating wikepedia page! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_European_Fencing_Championships

Ok, it’s official now that European Championships have gotten more coverage in the USA than our own team’s record-breaking performance. Sad!

They had a photographer from Getty Images there!!!  Don’t tell me we can’t get press for USA Fencing if the Euro’s can get press here on our own websites!
