He defeats Kovalev (RUS) 15-11 in the final. Dumitrescu and Yakimenko finished 3rd.

Limbach Defeats Igoe 15-14

Ben Igoe trailing 2-8 at the break and 7-12 staged a strong comeback taking a 14-13 lead against 2009 world champion Nicolas Limbach before falling 15-14.

The USA fencers are all finished at the competition and compete again in 2-weeks in Padua, Italy

Ben Igoe into top32 to face Limbach (GER)

Ben Igoe defeated a polish fencer in the 64 to advance. Homer fell to Jiang (CHN) 12-15, Williams to Kovalev (12-15) and Spear to Beaudry (CAN) 10-15.

World Champion Won, and #2 and #4 ranked Koreans Oh and Gu all fell in 64.
