In the last 30 years, childhood obesity rates in America have tripled. Today, nearly one in three children is overweight or obese. September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month and the USTA is hosting this event to shed light on this growing epidemic by encouraging America’s youth to get active.
First Lady Michelle Obama created her Let’s Move! initiative in 2010 to end the epidemic of childhood obesity within a generation. PHA engages partners across sectors by working to make the healthy choice the easy choice for America’s families.
