SAN JOSE, Costa Rica – The United States finished the 2010 Pan American Championships in style. The top-seeded U.S. Men’s Saber Team defeated Canada, 45-41, in the back-and-forth gold medal final. After receiving a bye through the first round, Team USA took care of Argentina, 45-25, and Brazil, 45-28, in the semifinal.

Congrats to our women’s Epee team who took home a Bronze medal on the final day!
Final couple days of practice and then we’re off to San Salvador, El Salvador for the very important Pan American Championships.
The competition is both individual and team between all the national teams of countries in North, South and Central America and counts a lot for world ranking. We’ll be competing against countries such as Canada, Cuba, Mexico and Venezuela to name a few.
For the USA men’s saber team, Ben Igoe, James Williams, Jason Rogers and myself will be competing.
The US Nationals are happening the same weekend so we’re all sad that we’ll be missing that competition!
