Dagmara Wozniak: Heads into Moscow World Cup of Fencing with 2 Straight Finals Appearances and Hungry for More

Dagmara Wozniak, 3-time National team member, Beijing Olympic Team Member and a Junior at St. John’s University heads into this weekends Moscow world cup poised to continue her strong start to the 2009-2010 season.  

After having strong international results prior to the Bejing Olypics, she struggled last year following the Olympics.  However, over the past 2 competitions she has showed signs of breaking into the elite level of the international circuit with quarter-final appearances in London and at the Grand Prix in Orleans.   She also won the last North American cup in San Jose.

With the return of Athen’s Olympian Emily Jacobson, strong fencing from Daria Schneider and the perenial powerhouse fencing of 2-time Olympic Champion Mariel Zagunis, the US team may be poised to return to dominant form.
